Kawartha Lakes Associations
There are some associations in Kawartha Lakes that may suit your recreational interests or passions. Perhaps you’re interested in the restoration of a historic railway station in your cottage community. Or maybe snowmobiling is your favourite winter pastime, and you’re keen to join the local snowmobile club. There are horticultural societies for avid gardeners and historical societies for those who would like to know more about nineteenth-century life in nearby towns or Samuel de Champlain’s travels along the shores of Balsam Lake in 1615.
There are also many cottage and lake associations in Kawartha Lakes. These associations usually represent the interests of members with activities to safeguard the value of their properties and their quality of life on a lake. Association work is valuable since a cottage is often a significant investment. Many lake associations also conduct water-quality testing.
Several active road associations allow groups to focus on issues specific to their road or their part of the lake.
In this section, we’ve also included important area phone numbers and emergency contact numbers.
