Knights of Columbus Recreational Cycling Ride and Barbecue
What: The Knights of Columbus will hold a recreational cycling ride and barbecue. (This is a cycling experience, not a race.) Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit local needs through the Knights of Columbus
When: On Saturday, August 6, registration opens at 9:00 a.m., the 25-km ride starts at 10:00 a.m. and the 13-km ride begins at 10:30 a.m.

A Place Called Home’s 13th Annual Mark-a-thon Walk for the Homeless
What: A fundraiser walk for A Place Called Home, a residence in Lindsay. Join a 5-km walk and help raise funds for the homeless of this community
When: On Saturday, August 6, the 10-km walk begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Lindsay Farmers’ Market on Victoria Avenue North. The 5-km walk leaves the A&W on Kent Street West at 10:45 a.m. (Those on the 10-km walk will arrive at the A&W, the half-way point, at about 10:30 a.m.)
Where: Victoria Avenue North and Kent Street West in Lindsay
Admission: $30.00 to register or raise a minimum of $25.00 in donations
More about the Walk: This will be the thirteenth year Mark Fevang has walked for the homeless of the community. He has raised over $60,000 in the past 12 years for A Place Called Home. Mark's goal is to raise $10,000 during this walk-a-thon. Everyone will meet at the Coach and Horses for a barbecue lunch after the walk.
