The flood warning has been downgraded and many lakes in the area are nearing normal levels for the summer months. Water levels have returned to summer normal levels on some of the Kawartha Lakes, according to the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority. A flood warning that was issued last month for the Kawartha Lakes and Otonabee River watershed was downgraded on Monday to a water safety watershed conditions statement and that notice was updated on Friday. The Tri-lakes (Buckhorn, Chemong and Pigeon) and the combined lakes of Stoney and Clear lakes are declining too but are still above summer normal levels.
