Having a cottage surrounded by stunning nature is fantastic, but it sometimes comes with unwanted guests! Check out this video from Cottage Life if you have seen some critters hanging around. They said, "After critter proofing the area, monitor it for signs of activity: scratching, feces, and scavenged food." It's a good idea to thoroughly critter proof your cottage, especially the deck area! They like to crawl into small spaces, so Cottage Life recommends either completely sealing your deck or leaving it totally open - one or the other!
