Renting to a friend can be tricky. Do they get a discount? How much income do you need to make off of your property to cover your bills? That's a hard line to walk, so try and communicate as openly as you can. If you do decide to give a discount to friends or family, make sure you are truly comfortable with that arrangement and that you won't be holding onto any resentment about it. Cottages are meant for fun!
