Provincial Grants to impact Kawartha Lakes schools.

 

A provincial grant program hopes to involve parents in education, student achievement, and student well-being. "A total of 18 schools were approved for support, to the tune of $17,499, and the board itself received a $20,000 grant to create a One Stop communications app for parents." That's a total of $37,499 coming to schools! Look out for Family Math Nights, Parent and Child Art Night, and so many more new programs to get involved! We love our schools!
 

Kawartha Lakes schools share provincial grants

KAWARTHA LAKES — Seven elementary schools are sharing $7,000 in Parents Reaching Out grants to help reduce barriers to parent engagement in their community. The Trillium Lakelands District School Board received $37,499 in funding from the provincial grant program that aims to find local solutions to involve more parents in support of student achievement and well-being. A total of 18 schools were approved for support, to the tune of $17,499, and the board itself received a $20,000 grant to create a One Stop communications app for parents.
