Work to be done on Highway 35

Improvements will begin soon on the Highway 35 culvert which will temporarily close a portion of the road completely.

“Proposed work includes:
— removal of existing two-cell structural plate corrugated steel pipe arch culvert;
— removal of existing cast-in-place concrete open footing culvert and footings;
— construction of new two-cell precast concrete culvert and retaining walls;
— placement of new steel beam guide rail;
— reinstatement of the pavement structure and pavement markings and,
— intersection improvements on Highway 7 at Mt. Horeb Road.”

We will keep you updated on the status of this project.

City of Kawartha Lakes provides overview of Highway 35 culvert work

KAWARTHA LAKES  City of Kawartha Lakes officials have provided an update from the Ministry of Transportation on the construction scheduled for Highway 35 next month. The work involves the Stoney Creek culvert replacement and Highway 7 intersection improvements at Mount Horeb Road (Kawartha Lakes Road 31).
