A wind turbine blade failed in Kawartha Lakes

A wind turbine blade failed in Kawartha Lakes on April 20. The cause is currently under investigation.

MyKawartha reported, "Susan Binnie, who contacted mykawartha.com, said neighbours heard a loud noise just before 9 a.m. The blade on the turbine is part of the Sumac Ridge project. MyKawartha.com was told the turbine is located in an isolated project field and nearby Wild Turkey Road was closed as a precaution."
