Six years ago, Don O’Neill sold the cattle that had been part of his farm for decades. On April 7, the equipment he used to tend his 450-acre Emily Township farm was auctioned off, drawing close to 300 people in search of a deal. At 89, no one was surprised that O’Neill decided to retire. Also not surprising was the fact that, although he has four children, none of them were chomping at the bit to take over the business, although O’Neill has no intention of selling his property.
