Most of the local dragon boat crew members heading to New Zealand to compete are over 60, and they are ready to take on the challenge. One said, ““I’m 66 years old and I hike, canoe and cycle. The more I do, the better I feel. It’s really rewarding, mentally.” The community has come together to support them financially to make this trip possible.
