Local turtles get a hand

Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre is rescuing and rehabilitating local turtles, many of which have been hit by cars. If you see a turtle in the road, take a few minutes to help it across safely. Turtles take a long time to reach maturity, so every turtle life matters! Make sure to assist them across the road in the same direction they were travelling when you found them. Call 705-741-5000 for assistance if you find an injured turtle.

Kudos to these locals!
