Transit possibilities

Is public transit a want or a need? A committee thinks it should be a right and a priority. Mykawartha.com reported, "Only a month after council decided to pass on a potential grant for rural funding improvements, the group approached the municipality at a special council meeting March 27, presenting a 'three-point plan' that it believes will address employment transportation, shopping opportunities, and the ability to make medical appointments." This could be very helpful for those that need assistance getting to school or the doctor. We will keep you updated!

A Kawartha Lakes-based working group intent on bringing rural transit back to the municipality says the issue is one that city needs to revisit yet again.
