What to bring for a visit to cottage country

It's a question cottage owners hear all the time when they invite guests, "What should I bring?" A bottle of wine is always a good bet, and snacks are also great! Muskokaregion.com said, "It's quick and easy for guests to bring some basic snacks for the group. Chips, fruits, veggies, dips, all travel fairly well from the car to the kitchen, to the dock. Easy, appreciated." They should also bring their own supplie such as towels, sunscreen, and a hat if they can. Don't be afraid to ask them to pitch in!

Quick checklist for the thoughtful Muskoka cottage guest

MUSKOKA — It's that time of year when we all like to have guests up to the cottage to visit, or at least most of us like it. Count me in among that group. I find cottage entertaining so much easier than city entertaining. Just shorts and T-shirts and drinks on the dock. It’s summertime and the livin’ is easy. The cottage itself is the entertainment. Boating, swimming, campfires (I miss mine with the fire ban!). The hosts can simply let their guests choose their poison. Try the new stand up paddleboard if you dare. Maybe fishing is your thing....
